Program Description

Parent’s Choice award winning performer Davis Bates shares songs and stories from the United States and around the world that address issues of literacy, diversity, community, imagination, history, family and the environment. Programs can address a variety of specific themes and age groups, including inter-generational audiences. Programs for younger audiences include a lot of participation and movement, while programs for older audiences are more narrative, while still including some participation. Curriculum support activities are available for all programs. Instruments played include spoons, limberjack and afuche/cabasa.
