Program Description

Elizabeth Macy is a local author and business owner, and member of the society of children book writers and illustrators (SCBWI). The first book in the Lucky’s Adventures series, Lucky’s Adventure in Saratoga, was inspired by the true story of the author’s dog, Lucky Charms, getting lost in Saratoga for four days. Her latest book in the series (to be released summer 19) Lucky’s Adventure in Winter Wonderland, continues to capture Elizabeth’s passion for her fur baby and rescue pets to create another heartwarming adventure for children to experience and treasure.

Author visit includes intro, reading and power point presentation about the process of writing a picture book.
Lucky’s Adventure in Saratoga presentation includes reading the map in the book and informational details about the places Lucky visited.
Lucky’s Adventure in Winter Wonderland focuses on rescue pet awareness and what kids can do to be involved and help rescues.
Both books teach about friendship, love, community, gratitude and kindness.

I am happy to work with schools to create a presentation that fits into your curriculum.

Lucky, a support dog, attends school visits. Usually with a large group Lucky just sits quietly in her stroller. The kids enjoy meeting the dog who is the star and inspiration of the books.
