Program Description

Susan Brownell Anthony was a pioneer leader of the cause for women’s suffrage, and her energy was tireless in working for what she considered to be the best interests of womankind. In 1878 Susan submitted a proposed amendment to the Congress. Forty-two years later, in 1920, it became the Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
Linda McKenney’s brings Susan to life and takes her audience on Susan’s journey from childhood to her death. Providing snippets of her life and roles in Temperance, Abolition and The Women’s Suffrage Movement.
