Program Theme
The theme of the program is African drumming and dance from West Africa and its diaspora.
Program Description
Intro To African Diasporic Drum & Dance is presented by Albany Barn Artist in Residence Jordan Taylor Hill. Jordan brings an unique experience of traditional music and dances from West Africa, Brazil, and The Caribbean. His presentation is fit for all ages, (kids and adults) and combine history, culture, and customs in a fun and educational manner – leaving participants equally inspired and informed. As a practitioner of traditional and modern arts Jordans travel experiences as well as passion for performing are brought to schools, ensembles, and stages throughout the year.
