STEAM enrichment — Paper and Fabric Engineering, Electronics and Coding!

Program Description

Excite your students with creative hands-on engineering and electronics challenges using everyday stuff!

Crafts for Learning workshops led by award-winning author Kathy Ceceri give kids and teens the chance to:

  • Construct and code Programmable Cardboard Robots
  • Create working cardboard pinball machines around themes in science, history, or literature using the PinBox 3000
  • Design light-up art and wearables
  • Make working robot models that walk and move with or without batteries
  • Learn game design and coding by developing “games for good” or adaptive game controllers
  • Explore the physics of sound with their own acoustic and electronic musical instruments

Kathy’s books include Robotics, Making Simple Robots, Video Games: Design and Code Your Own Adventure, Paper Inventions, Fabric and Fiber Inventions, Musical Inventions and Edible Inventions.

Kathy also offers professional development workshops that help educators incorporate Maker activities into their classroom or library using skills and materials they already possess!
