Program Description
Louella Bryant has published many stories, poems, and essays in magazines, most recently Split Rock Review (https://www.splitrockreview.org/louella-bryant). Her award-winning books include: The Black Bonnet (finalist for the Vermont Book Award), Father By Blood (Silver Bay Children’s Literature Award), Two Tracks in the Snow, While In Darkness There Is Light (Southwest Writers Award), Full Bloom Stories (Premier Award for Fiction), and the forthcoming Cowboy Code (finalist for the Exeter prize). Louella was awarded the 2002 Vermont-NEA Human & Civil Rights Award and fellowships to the Vermont Studio Center and the David and Julie White Artists Colony in Costa Rica.
