Author visit with equal interactive focus on writing and illustrating.
Program Description
Thank you for your interest in having me visit your school! A typical classroom presentation lasts one hour and includes:
• An introduction, group discussion, and reading of one of my
books to students
• A PowerPoint presentation on how an idea becomes a book,
showcasing behind-the-scenes photos of my process
• “Becoming Authors”- A group brainstorming in which students
create their own story idea
• “Becoming Illustrators”- An interactive drawing lesson where
students illustrate a scene from their story
• Each student will receive a comlimentary coloring sheet and
bookmark as a memento of our time together
